Information sessions will be scheduled in April 2019 for the May-June programs.

Mindfulness-based Symptom Management for Pain and Chronic Illness (M4PCI) is open for registration. If you require approval from HCAI, VAC or WSIB, please contact us as soon as possible to facilitate the documentation for the program. The program will begin when there are sufficient participants (maximum 12 participants). Covered by extended care insurance benefits. Contact us for more information.

Attending information sessions is required (no charge) before attending our 8-week MBSM. Please contact us for more information.

Mindfulness-based Symptom Management (M4CORE) for stress, depression, anxiety will be held in May 2019 (8-weeks), choice of Tuesdays or Thursdays 6-8PM with an extended day of practice after the fourth session. Covered by extended care insurance benefits.

Mindfulness-Based Symptom Management OSI (M4OSI) is a mindfulness program for active service military, Veterans, and First Responders with an Operational Stress Injury (OSI). Please contact us for more information.

Mindfulness-based Symptom Management (MBSM)

Mindfulness-based Symptom Management (M4-Core) is designed for individuals experiencing stress related to life events (relationships, work, family, depression, anxiety, loss, etc.). Over 8 weeks, each weekly session focuses on cultivating mindfulness skills through the following themes:

  • body awareness,
  • understanding our perceptions of ourselves, others, and the world,
  • cultivating tolerance of distress, and
  • transforming reactivity into respons-ability.

In the MBSM program, you will learn

  • the fundamentals of mindfulness practices
  • how to become more aware of the mind-body connection
  • mindfulness-based stress awareness and coping skills
  • how the Five Skillful Habits can support your values and how to live in line with those values
  • self-care strategies that go together with mindfulness skills
