We are currently planning retreats that can be attended online. More information will be published in Spring 2021.
The Directors and Certified Teachers at the OMC offer regular retreats and workshops throughout the year and hope to continue this practice online soon.
There are several benefits of a Stay@Home retreat:
- You don’t have to travel away from family
- No added costs for lodging or meals
- A chance to practice the skills in Real Time & Real Life which means
- practical ways to put the practices on the road immediately
- learning how to make the space in time in your life as soon as you leave for the day
- challenging those beliefs that there are too many obstacles to actually practice
Heart of Mindfulness Practice
2- or 5-day Stay@Home Practice
Join us to learn mindfulness practices that fold into everyday life. Learn the fundamentals of mindfulness through continuous practice of sitting, walking, resting, eating, and even sleeping! Talks given by the guiding teachers will explore ways we can bring mindfulness into our lives and connect with ourselves and others through joy and compassion.
If you have a long-standing practice, join us to share in refreshing your commitment to living well. Our annual silent retreat is designed for those who are interested in the retreat experience as a way to start or deepen their meditation practices.

Cultivating Wisdom & Compassion through the Roots of Mindfulness
Join Drs. Monteiro & Musten in an opportunity to deepen your practice of mindfulness and compassion. Whether you are just beginning your practice or have been practicing for some time, this can be an occasion to ground and refresh the habits you are developing. Each day will be a flow of meditations and talks to encourage us to collect our thoughts, attend to our body, emotions, and sensations, and learn how to be forgiving and compassionate with ourselves.
Extended healthcare insurance may reimburse a portion of these fees considered “Psychological Services”. Please ask your insurer.
